Appearance Lyophilized powder. Formulation Lyophilized after extensive dialysis against PBS. Endotoxin Level <0.2 EU/μg, determined by LAL method. Reconstitution Reconstitute the lyophilized recombinant Rat Interleukin-1 beta (rRtIL-1β) to 100 μg/mL using ddH2O. Storage & Stability Lyophilized recombinant Rat Interleukin-1 beta (rRtIL-1β) is stored at -20°C. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 2 weeks or -20°C for longer. It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage. Shipping Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere. Background Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) is a proinflammatory cytokine, produced in response to inflammatory agents by a variety of cells, including, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells (DCs). Recombinant rat IL-1β and IL-6 synergistically enhance C3 mRNA levels and complement component C3 secretion by H-35 rat hepatoma cells. In rat hepatoma H-35 cells, recombinant rat IL-1β, IL-6, and IFN-γ increase the quantity of C3 mRNA and secreted C3 protein, an observation consistent with reports that C3 is an acute phase protein in the rat[1]. |
